The Mill

We didn't set out to own a Victorian mill. We simply reached the point where our London basement flat had become rather too small and, in the summer of 2008, made the move to the Cotswold valley of Woodchester.

The historic Mill, though admittedly in need of a little love at the time, was a considerable step up and opened a world of possibilities.

At last we could design and print all our fabric and wallpaper under one roof. We embraced new digital printing technology, along with the brilliant craftspeople behind it and developed a nimble manufacturing model. Everything could now be printed-to-order, producing minimal waste and freeing us from the burden of unnecessary stock.

The move also allowed for our very own design studio, complete with its own printer. It’s something of a dream space for print makers, where every pattern is played with and tweaked until it feels just right.

Having everything to hand here also means we can offer bespoke colours and custom scales for individual projects.

The company has grown since those early days in Woodchester but one thing hasn't changed. From the first sketch to the final roll of wallpaper or fabric, every part of the process still happens within the walls of the Mill.

The Top Floor

Right at the top of the Mill is 2,000 square feet of magnificent, light-filled loft space with a kitchen and a log burner.

We host all sort of interesting events here, from book launches and creative workshops to the occasional sale of discontinued and seconded goods.

Come and see what’s happening next at the Top Floor
